Hi all,
For those who don’t know me, my name is Mal Highet.
I am making this campaign to ask for help in our goal to get water filtration units into homes in Menindee NSW .
As you all may be aware of the situation there with polluted town drinking water
Growing up in Menindee myself and have fond memories, I hold this cause close to my heart and want to support the people in the areas suffering the most.
I and my dedicated team have collected donated water and money to purchase water, to distribute to the community. To date, we have delivered approximately 32000 litres of bottled and boxed drinking water to Menindee residents and Businesses in the last 3 weeks but this is only a bandaid and short term solution.
Our goal is to get water filtration units in every home by the end of February..
Our friends at ‘Puretec’ in Adelaide have generously donated 100 bench top water filtration units and discounted remaining units required by 50 %. We will require approximately 100 more units to achieve our goal.
We need to raise $9500 to make this happen and put clean, healthy water in the homes of the people affected
