The Memphis Migration Fund

This past week I got an offer for a WONDERFUL job in Memphis Tennessee with a company that I have wanted to be a part of for a very long time.  It's called The Tennessee Shakespeare Company . I will be working with and for a friend that I have had for over 20 years. Among other things, my new job will be managing, marketing, teaching, adminstrating an Education Program that reaches thousands of students each year with programs such as The Romeo and Juliet project , School Residencies , Summer Camps for pre-k-12th grade , School Tours,  and much, much more.  What really gets me about this place is not only the massive education program or the GREAT seasons of Theater they produce, but how they choose to move through the world as an organization.  It's the right choice. I know it is. 

So, this is where I ask for help.  I am going to start work in Tennessee on April 19th. 7 weeks a day from when I launch this I will move across the country.  This means I have to break my lease, install a roof rack, install a roof rack, buy and install a cargo hold for the car, get the vehicle travel worthy, make hotel reservations, find an apartment in Memphis by scouring the internet, ship most of my belongings ground rate box by box (a moving truck with a car hitch, which I am NOT getting, is in the 4-5000 dollar range), gas and food myself and my travel helper over the three day journey,  return said helper on an airplane from Memphis, turn things on, turn things off, change things over, pay lease-breaking penalties, pay deposits... it's, well. ALOT of money needed FAST. I really don't like asking for things without giving in return, so every donation amount has a perk. They are fun, they are personal, and hopefully this combined with the incredible karma you are generating and my undying gratitude make you feel this is a solid investment.
