Memorial walk for Sgt Ben Bertram
Donation protected
Hello all,
My name is Richard Gideons and I am a paramedic with Scott County EMS, and a resident of Charlestown IN. On 12/12/18, Sgt. Ben Bertram lost his life in the the line of duty during a pursuit. He lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree. Dispite the best efforts of all responders on scene, who worked diligently to save him, it was not enough. Sgt. Bertram succumbed to his injuries that night and left an irreplaceable hole in the hearts of many. To honor his commitment, devotion to his community, and his duty to act; I plan to take a symbolic walk delievering a Thin Blue Line flag from the scene of the accident, to the Charlestown Police Department. I plan to have the responding services sign this flag prior to the walk and delivery of it to CHPD. Any and all donations will go to the Ben Bertram Memorial Canine Fund in c/o The New Washington State Bank, 1059 Market Street in Charlestown, IN 4711.
