Memorial Gratitude Bench for Sam Weinstein

Hi Everyone,
I have created this GoFundMe so as a community we can fundraise for a memorial 'Gratitude Bench' on the park grassed area of Swanbourne Western Australia looking over the beach. This has been approved by the local council.
This is a memorial for Sam Weinstein beloved life partner of Sydel Weinstein and father of two sons Satyam and Sanche-Zev. Loved by many persons family and friends spread around the globe and loved by those who came to his yoga classes, counselling sessions, crossed his path in some way or simply enjoyed his sharing's online it is hoped many will enjoy this bench.

The intention for our 'Gratitude Bench' is for it to be a special place for all persons passing by who may not have ever heard of Sam Weinstein, Transformational Yoga, Home of Yoga or Family Nurturing Centre.
They will not know that for 10 very special years our yoga centre was located in a hall here over looking the beach and this place was a magical time for many persons, parents, children and yoga students.
They will simply see a blue bench with a stainless steel plaque ( and some flowers we hope) with a loving suggestion to sit with eyes open to the beauty of the ocean view and feel in your heart this simple poem that Sam would share at the beginning, during or the end of many of the 1000's of classes he taught in over 30 years of teaching 15-20 yoga classes a week with few holiday breaks, yoga was his life.
He never tired of passion for sharing his love of yoga, and always even if feeling pain from accident in his early 30's had the time to listen, care and be compassionate. Sam believed in peace through kindness and compassion, this was his essential practice. He believed in 'being total' in what we do. Totally present. "Be Total" he would commonly say, "Breathe" "Love Yourself". In the practice of kindness and compassion Sam was total.
When Sam recited this poem, he was total, and the sweetness of gratefulness was felt by all who shared this moment, of which there were many.
To those who were touched by the sweetness, passion or totality of Sam, by his devotion to peace, love and yoga, by his endless ability to care and listen, this bench will have meaning. To the thousands of parents and children who played in the oceanside park, this bench will have meaning. For his many yoga students and teachers this bench will have meaning. To his friends and family, two sons and life partner this bench will have meaning.
To those who believe in simple truths, in love, gratitude, peace, kindness and compassion this bench will have meaning.
And to those just passing by maybe the poem will give them a moment of peace,presence and pause and at the very least a comfortable seat to enjoy the ocean breeze, rising and setting of the sun.

This memorial bench has been approved by the council and the fee to be paid to the council is apx $2700. There is an additional cost of a stainless steel plaque so I have rounded the overall cost to $3000.
Any extra raised will go to the charity Sam and Sydel founded the Family Nurturing Centre/ Mental Health Station. Now to be encompassed under the umbrella name HeartPlace which will incorporate yoga and healing activities.

Once the bench and plaque is in place we will have a celebratory picnic by the bench and swim at the beach.
