Memorial Fund for "Annie" Nhu Nguyen

Her story:
Nhu "Annie" Ngoc Quynh Nguyen was a dutiful mother who always put her children first before herself.

She's an extremely hard working single mother of 3 girls, working 7 days a week all over the US from Florida, Michigan, Arizona etc. and now Las Vegas. She had been constantly putting in 12-14 hrs a day, 7 days a week to send her daughters to college and to support her mother, siblings, and grandchildren. Allowing them to have a greater opportunity in life, she worked endlessly to the point where she would skip eating until after hours so they would not have to work as hard as she did.

She would never buy anything for herself. Any gifts that she received would be passed to her daughters, rather than keeping the it for herself. She never asked for anything in return, besides more grandchildren. Every penny that she had accumulated always went towards her family.

Unfortunately, we lost a selfless soul on Saturday, December 29th, 2018. We miss her very much and will always hold her dear in our hearts and memories. Her death will not be in vain as she is an organ donor and will be offering her gifts to those who are in need. We love her and are proud of her for her kind sacrifices.

The saddest part is her youngest granddaughter is holding her picture and asking everyone if she's in heaven, cause "grandma is her number 1 love" -- that's her exact words.

During this time of tragedy, we wholeheartedly thank you for your condolences and support. Although she suffered for the sake of her family, we hope she knows that she is loved by many.

How the funds will be used:
Since there have been so many donations from both friends and strangers, we will share what we are going to be doing with the funds that were graciously presented to us for transparency. I, Christy Le, her youngest daughter of "Annie" Nhu Nguyen am in charge of the GoFundMe' campaign as well as managing the funds. All donation funds from this campaign will be transferred into my personal Chase bank account. Firstly, the funds will be used to pay funeral expenses and to pay off any debts she might owe. We all reside in Orange County, California and will be having the funeral for my mom back in California.

Any leftover funds will be put into my savings account going towards my college tuition. I am currently on my third year as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley and my mom has been supporting me by paying for my rent and utilities, school fees, and other costs. Both of my sisters have their own family, so their main concern is helping me through college and graduate school.

Due to this unfortunate event, there is a possibility that the state will freeze and withhold all of her assets as she did not leave us a will or trust fund.

Any amount will be greatly appreciated and will help us tremendously to pay for her funeral. Thank you for your generous offering and your continuous love & support — may God bless you.
