Memorial Fund for Kyle Duran
On January 14th my good friend Rhonda Smith had to suddenly say goodbye to her 18yr old son, Kyle Duran. He had both of his parents by his side when he left this world. Kyle always wanted to make people laugh and would do anything to make it happen. He had a huge heart made of gold and loved his family and friends very much. He was so young and so full of life and was taken way too soon. He was just shy of turning 19.
I cannot begin to imagine the pain and complete heartbreak the family must be feeling right now. No parent should ever have to say goodbye to their child... ever.
As many of you know Rhonda herself has been going through extensive medical issues for years. Due to the many complications with her health and living solely off of disability, it has left her with very little funds to be able to lay Kyle to rest.
Rhonda is one of the most amazing people I know, she is strong and resilient, she is great mother, aunt and daughter, and she is a true friend that would be there for anyone who needed her.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this very difficult time. May God give them some sort of comfort and strength in all the great memories they have of him and may his memory live on forever through them.
