Memorial Fund for John W. Nelson

Born in 1950, our father, John W. Nelson, lived a full life, fathering three children, nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. John served proudly in the United States Marine Corps and was a proud Veteran who served his country during Vietnam. He worked as a machinist for Cascade until his health issues forced his retirement. John battled multiple illnesses over his life, but never gave in. Tragically, our father lost his battle with cancer on October 25, 2016. His death was unexpected and has left us all with a tremendous sense of how fast it can all be over. We are looking for any help we can get to cover the cost of the funeral expenses. His viewing and burial was not set in advance, and we are unable to collect these funds alone. Any and all help we can get to give our father the respect and dignity he deserved would be amazing and truly appreciated. He was loved by his family and will be missed. We are hoping to have our funds by November 12th, which will allow me to take care of the needed expenses before his funeral, which will be held on November 19th. If you can find it in your heart to give what you can, you may rest assured knowing these funds will help our family get through this difficult time. He will be given a traditional military funeral service, one worthy of a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Thank you for any assistance you could give us during this difficult time.
