Dear family and friends,
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of Kristin Marie Burghdorf on December 14, 2017. Our family is shocked, devastated, and heartbroken by this tragic loss of our beautiful daughter/sister/mother. While we are left with far more questions than answers, Kristin ultimately died at the young age of 39 from a stroke that left her brain dead. We feel fortunately to have had the opportunity to surround her with love and say “see you later” before she was removed from life support. She leaves behind her two children, Isabelle, 11, and Sage, 20, and an immense community of friends and family that loved her dearly.
Kristin’s life, while quite tragic and difficult at times, was mostly filled with the three most important components of this Christmas season – joy, hope, and love. She will be remembered for her compassion, gentleness, and determination. Those of us left behind in the midst of a chaotic world will choose to live lives that honor and celebrate her memory. Rich in spirit, with a heart of gold and an immense passion for Christ, Kristin’s commitment to her faith assures us that she is dancing in heaven--healthy, happy, and carefree.
As a single mom of two, skilled LVN, and dedicated care giver, Kristin fought hard to provide for her family and live a simple, dignified life. Although she was rich in so many ways, she struggled financially to make ends meet. This memorial fund was established to help cover funeral arrangements and immediate financial support for her two children, Isabelle and Sage. Thank you for your prayers and generosity.
