Hello! Thank you for coming by my go fund me. My name is Melody and this crowdfund is actually for 3 main things. My Fiancee and I are going to be moving from Missouri to Pennsylvania. There are a few reasons for this. First and foremost, My Mom has been sick and not doing well. She lives in Pennsylvania. If she is getting close to the end, I REALLY don't want to be several hundred miles away.
Second, I have spent the past 5 years trying to get Disability with no luck. I am unable to work as is my fiancee. Its becoming a very difficult thing with 2 people living off of less then 800 dollars a month. It was suggested I go there to try to apply.
Finally While the cost of living isn't terrible in Missouri it is also not optimal. I grew up in Pennsylvania and I know that the cost of living is much lower than what it is here.
Okay so what is the funds for? Well the big thing is a Vehicle that can handle the trip. My current vehicle has been hitting that age where it just keeps falling apart. In its current state, It will not make the trip. Fixing it has become... a chore and at this point, putting any more money into it will be putting more than its worth into it. The rest is going for the basic travel costs of moving. Fuel, Food, and Potential hotel if needed. this come to around 3500.
Because we lack the funds, We are looking to make the trip early next year. If we could raise the funds by then or before it would be wonderful. The sooner we get there the more time I will be able to spend with my family and hopefully the sooner I will get my Disability.
I know times are hard. Most people are struggling to just get by let alone help others. That is why I would be eternally grateful for any help given. It would mean a fresh start for my Fiancee. A chance to work further towards our goals which include potentially adopting a child. It would mean actually being closer to family and that is a benefit all its own.
