Mekong Project for Women's Livelihoods (Mekong Livelihoods) is a project currently in its preliminary phase, and was established by Vy Thai and Hang Tran in May 2017.

The project was developed both within and outside of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI U), a forum of the Clinton Foundation to mobilize college students around the world to create awards. creative solutions to global challenges. These solutions must not only be creative but also specific, measurable, and ethical, along with maintaining the ability to influence the community. With the overall goal of being completed within two years, CGI U's solutions are the first step to creating positive and sustainable change for the communities of the host countries.

The Mekong Livelihoods Project is an example of such solutions, aimed at supporting and empowering disadvantaged young girls and women in the Greater Mekong Delta region in Viet Nam. With the foundation as an educational and human rights advocacy program, the project will simultaneously provide a personal development and career development program to help girls and young women in low-income communities to develop confidence, capacity and knowledge needed to improve the quality of life, as well as ongoing advocacy efforts at the regional, national, and international levels to reaffirm the importance of protecting human rights.
