Vivimos en un pequeño pueblo del Pre-Pirineo de Lleida, llamado Aulàs. Fue abandonado en los años 70. A partir del 1996 empezó poco a poco a ser rehabitado y reconstruido de nuevo. Actualmente somos unos 60 habitantes de los cuales 20 son niños.
We live Aulàs, a small village in the foothills of the Pyrenees of Lerida (Catalunya, Spain). It was abandoned in the '70; from 1996 on, little by little the village was re-inhabited and re-built. At the moment, we are about 60 people of which some 20 are children.
Desde los inicios de la repoblación hemos ido haciendo distintos trabajos para mejorar el pueblo y nuestras vidas: traer agua (de manantial) al pueblo y distribuirlo, salvar casas de derrumbamiento, empedrados tradicionales en los senderos peatonales, etc.
Since the beginning of the re-population we have done many different public works to better the village and our lives: bringing water to the village and distributing it, save houses from falling down, traditional stone paving of footpaths, etc.
La ubicación del pueblo, a más de una hora del municipio que lo rige, hace que el acceso al pueblo es primordial para sostener nuestra calidad de vida y conectarnos con el resto del mundo. Así que el proyecto en el que estamos ahora es la mejora de un camino que accede al parking de la zona noreste del pueblo, y a la plaza mayor.
The location of the village, over an hour's drive from the town where our local government is, makes access to the village vital in order to be able to sustain our quality of life and connect to the rest of the world. So the project in which we are actually involved es the repair of the dirt road that accesses the parking in the northeastern part of the village as well as the town plaza.
A diferencia de ocasiones anteriores, nos hemos visto obligados a requerir maquinaria pesada para hacer un trabajo un poco más duradero.
Contrary to other occasions, we have felt the need to hire heavy machinery in order to do a more lasting job.
Nos encontramos en una difícil situación, porque el presupuesto inicial que era de 1500€ se nos ha ido de las manos…y necesitamos 2600€* para finalizar el proyecto (ver abajo presupuesto). Por favor, ayúdanos a alcanzar nuestra meta.
We are in a difficult situation, as the original budget of 1500€ has gotten out of hand...and we now need 2600€* to finish the project (see budget below). Please help us reach our goal.
