Adjovi’s Freiwilligendienst

Hey everybody!

My name is Adjovi Eklou, I’m 19 years old and in less than 3 months, I’ll fly to Vietnam and do a voluntary service for 9 months.

The reason why I’m collecting money is because I’ll do a voluntary service in Hòa Bình (75 km from the capital Hanoi).
The program (“weltwärts”) sends young people into countries all over the world. The aim is to exchange intercultural knowledge and get to know another culture. The volunteers are working in fields such as education, childcare, environment, human rights, teaching or community development.

“Weltwärts” is supported by the German government, which provides 75% of the total costs (i.e. costs for flights, accommodation, food, etc.) while we as volunteers are asked to collect donations in order to support our organisations (as they are responsible for the remaining 25%).

I am going to support the “New Horizons Project” in Vietnam by helping to teach English at a local high school.

To me, education is the most important key m, yet not available for everyone. I’m very excited and looking forward to take part in this intercultural exchange and be able to see the impact of volunteer programs.

If you want to stay updated on what I do in Vietnam, you can follow me on my social media platforms, linked below.
