Mehar Kaur accepted to Juilliards!

Mehar is 9 years old and has been accepted for the summer at Juilliard’s Summer Performing Arts Program. This opportunity will take her to Geneva, Switzerland, and for an experience of a life time. Mehar had to audition for this program and she was the first to be accepted out of the 12 students internationally. She started playing piano at the age of 5 and hasn't looked back. Her passion for music grows each and every day. Mehar is a musician who takes 3+ classes per week and practices 6 times a week and along that she does Speech Works at the Mount Royal Conservatory. On top of that she does academic enrichment courses and studies Punjabi and Chinese. Over the course of two weeks, Mehar will develop her technical abilities and use her new skills to play with passion and depth. She will receive private one-to-one instruction from the faculty and will have the opportunity to participate in seminars and workshops. This is an amazing opportunity of a lifetime but comes with a cost. The tuition cost alone for the program is $5700 USD and flights for her and for one of us to travel with her is $5000 CDN. The accommodation, food and travel within Geneva will cost another $4000 CDN. She is determined to apply herself 100% and to excel in every class as a way of showing her appreciation to everyone who supports her piano journey to Geneva. We as her parents will be eternally grateful to all who contribute funds and help us continue in supporting our daughter. We have chosen to use GoFundMe to raise money for Mehar because we can reach out to all our family and friends on one platform and Mehar wants to express her thanks by offering anyone who helps fund her trip by:
