You may know Megan from growing up in Albany, spending summer days on Lake George, or be one of the numerous friends she has made around the country, but if you do, I’m sure you have an entertaining story to tell involving her. Megan’s love of dogs, friends, and family is well known by everyone who has experienced her fun-loving and generous ways. Now, after all Megan does for others, it’s time for us to be there for her.
Over the past almost two years Megan and her family have faced more heartache than anyone should have to endure in a lifetime. At 36 Megan’s brother, Kevin, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. As he always did, Kevin fought tooth and nail not just for himself, but also for everyone who loved him. His February passing was devastating to an entire community. Megan was by his side, often flying from Florida to be there to support Kevin.
In a cruel twist of fate, Megan herself has now been diagnosed at stage four with the same rare cancer. She has already endured one major surgery, but is still undergoing multiple procedures and treatments, currently at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa. In true Megan style, she is maintaining her sense of humor throughout it all.
Megan has sacrificed so much time personally and professionally to be there for others. The purpose of this Go Fund Me page is to help Megan now, when SHE needs it. The money we donate will serve to supplement some of the lost income resulting from her extended hospital stays, provide the opportunity for treatments that are not fully covered, and once Megan is on the road to recovery, help her get back on her feet. Your contribution is deeply appreciated and is also a message of encouragement, support, and love that will help Megan keep her spirits high as she fights back against cancer and all of the complications that come with this awful disease.
