Medical help to cover my time out

Donation protected
We will be closing the Madock Clinic of Chiropractic at the end of March. For the reasons listed below I am unable to continue practicing until I recover from surgery. This may take 3 to 4 months following which I will let everyone know where we have relocated to and where they can come for treatment.

Eight months ago I started developing pain in my right hip. I had it before, but, it always went away, This time it stayed and got progressively worse. I helped my son moved twice. As I continued to practice the pain got worse and worse. I consulted with an orthopedic surgeon and a series of x-rays demonstrated that the cartilage in my hip was gradually generating due to a birth defect and joint deformity. In addition, the cartilage in my right knee deteriorated due to repeated injuries caused by a growing disease and multiple sprains and dislocations. They tried a series of injections which gave no relief. It was eventually determined that I would need arthroscopic surgery. The surgery was performed one month ago. The knee continues to be slow to heal and is very painful to walk on. An x-ray on the hip taken last week demonstrates that there is no cartilage left in the hip and the joint had completely deteriorated. I am to the point of using a walker and two canes. Surgery has been scheduled for the end of April and the orthopedic doctor indicates that I will be house bound for 4 to 6 weeks. I have attempted to continue practicing, however, it is apparent that within the next two weeks the pain will be beyond my ability to continue. My options are extremely limited at this time; my practice schedule is continued to diminish because of my inability to walk. These debilitating conditions have placed me in an awkward, embarrassing and completely unforeseen situation. I have no all other alternatives than to close my practice. I am told that the hip surgery, if successful, will relieve the pain in my hip and leg knee will eventually heal. I should be able to return to practice within 2 to 3 months. Until then, I am in a very desperate situation and would be grateful for any help you can give me. I have spent my life trying to help other people, teach other doctors what I have learned and given service to needy individuals with no means of repayment. I will be back! I will attempt to repay your kindness.
