Medical Funds for Jonathan Kollnot

Hello everyone,

I'm very sad to report that my brother Jonathan Kollnot has been dealing recently with several serious health issues. He is now facing a multitude of medical bills that unfortunately his work-based preventative health-insurance plan will not cover. He and our family would be grateful for any assistance in covering these medical expenses.

First, Jonathan recently underwent laparoscopic surgery to have his gallbladder removed because imaging tests found suspicious masses inside it. The pathology report revealed that he has stage 3 gallbladder cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes.  He will soon be undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments.

Additionally, he has recently been diagnosed with advanced liver disease (Cirrhosis of the Liver), which was caused by a rare autoimmune disorder called Primary Schlerosing Cholangitis (PSC) that attacked the bile ducts in his liver and caused the permanent liver damage. It likely caused his cancer as well. He would need a liver transplant someday to survive Cirrhosis. However, he would also need to be cancer-free for at least five years to qualify for a transplant.

As if that weren't enough, Jonathan also has been diagnosed with another chronic auto-immune disorder, ulcerative colitis, which has attacked his colon and caused severe gastrointestinal symptoms for him this past winter. This is currently being successfully treated with medication.

Needless to say, he and our family will be struggling to cover the costs for the upcoming cancer treatments, as well as other numerous medical expenses, including lab tests, imaging tests (CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan), a colonoscopy/encoscopy, the gallbladder surgery, medications, etc. Any financial assistance would greatly help us cover these expenses and allow him to focus solely on his recovery from these life-threatening illnesses.
