This year Eli Lily has refused to give me my Insliun until I pay 1100 dollars They believe my Medicare will cover it My deductable was $250 dollars + $47 .
So I am fine for now and the next bottle I get will be $47 too. But after that it will be $698 because of the Donut Hole in Medicare It will be $698 per bottle for 3 months before I get out of the Donut Hole. From Medicare..Eli Lily said after I pay $1100 in drug charges I can reapply to them I should be eligible to get my Insulin. I was in the hospital with Pnemonia last year for over 12 days. I still owe $2000 .00 on that + Another Hospital Claims I owe them $1348 for 1 night in the hospital several years ago . I have refused to pay. I made them aware I could not pay when I went in. medicaid paid part but not all of it. I did not have Medicare at that time. I am on a fixed income. I do not have that kind of money. I have exhausted my funds. I am at a loss of what to do. My wife and I both are worried sick about what to do. My insulin is Humilin R-U 500. there is not any generic for it or nothing else I can take.according to my Dr. Right now I have 3 bottles left + I can buy one more after this month. But after that it goes to $698 per month.. I have to have reciepts to show Eli Lily. Thanks for your help. I simply do not have the money for my bills and my insulin. I don't want to be rich I just want to live.
