Medical bills for a Rabies vaccine

While hiking Mt Elbert the other day a dog bit me in the face. Stupidly, I didn’t get the contact info of the owner or ask if the dog had been vaccinated. Now I’m in the ER, trying to get the rabies vaccine and it’s going to cost me thousands of dollars, even with insurance. The rabies vaccine series has increased in price by 400% in the last 20 years. If you contract rabies it is basically a death wish. The companies making these vaccines are profiting off of people trying to stay alive and know that you have to pay because you just don’t know if you have it or not. Any little bit helps.
