Medical and Travel Expenses for baby Ruby

Our friends Katy and Eric were blessed to find out that they were expecting their third child this past Fall.  After a particularly difficult pregnancy and early delivery of their second daughter, Stella, this news was both exciting and scary at the same time.  Katy and Eric's baby was due to be born March 16th.  I awoke on December 5th to a text from Katy that Ruby ("our little jewel") had been delivered the night before unexpectedly via emergency cesarean. Ruby was 14+ weeks early. Ruby was immediately taken to the NICU at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse. Katy was able to meet her two days later.  Ruby is a fighter and is making improvements every day, but she will remain in Syracuse for quite some time. The strain of taking care of (and still making the holidays magical) Reese and Stella plus traveling every day to see Ruby is taking a toll. Medical and travel expenses are quickly adding up.  I know many of their friends have reached out and wanted to help, including myself, and with their permission I decided to start this page.
