Tom's Higganum House Fire

My name is Jenna Loos, I created this page to help my step-dad, Tom, after his house burned down early this morning.  
My siblings and I grew up in this house.  We have a lot of memories here with family and friends.  It was a wonderful place to grow up.  Over the years, Tom has spent a lot time working on the house and the yard. He has put a lot of money, sweat, and hard work into this house, but he enjoyed doing it.  He had many plans and dreams on how he was going to continue the remodel.
But now it is all gone.
What matters most is that Tom is ok.  He managed to escape through a window and make it over to his neighbor's house.  They gave him clothes and got him to the hospital for smoke inhalation and observation.   
Tom is very special to me, he has been a huge part of my life since I was 3 years old.  I now live in California, but we have remained close.  Everytime I come back east, I visit Tom and this house.  This is the best way that I can help from so far away.  He is a good man, he works hard, and it breaks my heart that he has to go through this. Please help me to help him, donate anything you can.  I would really appreciate it and I know Tom will be so moved by everyones thoughts, prayers, concern, and outreach during this time. Thank you.
