Middlesex County Recovery Center

Addiction has been treated like an acute issue for way to long. Addiction is a chronic, progressive, treatable disease - similar to cancer or diabetes. We must not only react and treat symptons, we must support recovery.

Recovery Community Centers (RCC) are a resource for education, information, support and socialization for those in recovery and their family and friends. It is meant to authenticate that recovery from the disease of addiction is possible.  The basis of services and programming available through the Recovery Centers are Peer Recovery Support Services (PRSS). These are non-clinical services focusing on removing barriers and providing invaluable resources to those who are seeking to achieve and maintain long- term recovery. Peer Driven and Peer Delivered Support Services are fueled by the energy of volunteers who seek to share their experience and knowledge with others. Services are flexible and may be provided prior to, during, and after treatment. Recovery support services are provided by peer-specialists who are familiar with their community. Services include (but are not limited to):
•Mentoring, and coaching
• Self-help and support groups
• Employment services & job training
• Outreach
• Relapse prevention workshops
• Housing assistance and services
• Recovery support activities
• Family education
• Life skills
• Spiritual & faith-based support
• Education

A Recovery Community Center promotes improving quality of life, preventing relapse and sustaining recovery. It is not a clubhouse. It is a place where life’s challenges are faced with solutions and guidance. It is a place where skills are shared and learned. It is a place where isolation becomes inclusion and strangers become friends.

Middlesex County is being decimated by addiction and accidental overdose deaths. The time is now! If we want to stem the tide of addiction, we must support recovery.

Any financial help, small or large, will help us meet our goal. DONATE NOW! Any donations will go directly towards a recovery center - 501c3 paperwork, securing a space, material development and copies, ect.
