Hey Everyone!
I am asking for your help in creating a memorial foundation in honor of my father, Mac Cicak. My Dad was a man who believed in helping anyone he could in anyway he could. He had a passion for supporting agencies that helped others as well. I am in the process of building a foundation in his name where we can carry on his traditions of helping first responders.

Our mission at the Mac Cicak Memorial Foundation will be to help in developing fundraising programs that can be "gifted" to fire departments to help teach them, train them and support them in efforts to help raise desperately needed dollars to advance the missions of fire departments, eventually (we hope) nationwide. As my background is building development programs for nonprofits I want to develop a program to help "teach them to fish" for themselves. Our plan will include building a program that can be handed to a department to teach them how to create, build, recruit volunteers and sustain themselve into perpituity. We want to be able to provide all the support necessary to help them implement sustainable fund development programs. We will differ from tradional foundations in the sense that instead of granting "dollars" to an entity, we will grant a program and the support necessary to teach them how to raise the dollars they will need on their own.

This is where you come in! In order to help get our initial paperwork in and get registered with the IRS and the State of Colorado to get our tax exempt status we need to raise approx $1300 to get inital paperwork filed. There will be trademark and copywright forms we will have to follow up with secondary to this as well.

So if you believe in me, our mission, our family and our first responders I ask humbly for your help in getting this off the ground. Our goal is that as we grow that we can expand to police, EMS and support agencies such as Search and Rescue (which we are actually already working with). We are also in discussions with our first 1-2 fire departments to pilot the program!
