Welcome to the fundraising page for the City of Newark's McKees Solar Park. The 230-kilowatt solar installation will go live in the summer of 2014, generating clean, renewable power for Newark residents. City Council voted unanimously on June 23, 2014 to launch programs to promote community involvement in the Park. Be a "Sun Ray" investor by investing $50 in return for a $1 monthly credit* for 120 months on your City utility bill ($0.01 per kWh credit for 100 kWh of your power reserved from McKees Solar Park). Or, pledge a tax-deductible donation to the park and be recognized on the City's website. "Solar Panel" donors will be recognized on park displays for their larger contribution, which pays for the cost of an entire solar panel! Find the donation amount that suits you best. We can't thank you enough for your support!
