Mckenzie's Medical Fund

Aloha! Thanks for taking the time to hear my story. 

My name is Mckenzie Clark and I live on the Big Island of Hawaii.  On October 31, 2014 I was attacked by an aggressive tiger shark while surfing with a friend.  Thankfully, my surfboard received most of the damage but my hand was caught in the shark's teeth as he bit down around the board.

Although I am extremely fortunate to only have suffered relatively minor injuries to my hand, sharks' teeth are awefully sharp, and my fingers required over 50 stitches and, because of the extent of the injury, I am awaiting a trip to Oahu where I'll receive a skin graft to put those precious digits all back together.  

As lucky as I am to be here to tell the story, I am one among many without health insurance and the medical bills will be piling up, while my hours at work are not.

And, as much as I like to make my own way in the world, I could really use some help.

I'm hoping for a speedy recovery so I can get back to my jobs, but in the meantime, any donations raised will be met with overwhelming gratitude and will be used for medical expenses. 

I also believe in paying it forward, and when the opportunity arises I will extend your generosity to someone else in need.
