McFarlan Veternans Memorial Park

Genesee County Veterans Memorial has been defaced!

McFarlan Veterans Memorial Park has been the victim of vandalism. 

Sometime around the 1st week of May, someone defaced 18 of the 19 panels on the memorial columns at the park. 

These panels contain the names of over 1,700 veternans from Genesee County whose lives were lost defending our freedom in the following wars:

Spanish American War
World War One
World War Two
Korean War
Vietnam War
Iraqi Freedom
Enduring Freedom
Afghanistan War

To honor our Heroes from Genesee County these panels will have to be replaced. We are looking at a cost of $35,000 for the replacement and installation of the panels. As the Friends of McFarlan Park we are a Non-Profit 501(c)3 Corporation overseeing the park. We are asking the public to assist us in raising the funds to replace these panels at McFarlan Veterans Memorial Park.

If the funds are exceeded they will go towards furthering the restoration and maintaining of the park.
