Peru Volunteering

As a volunteer I will assist children with their homework, organise educational activities and provide the children with love and attention. The children at the projects require a lot of care, attention and companionship, most of the projects work with severely underprivileged children.

There are a number of vulnerable communities in Cusco where families aren't able to provide their children with basic needs such as education and food due to poverty.

I will be working in a childcare placement, working either in an orphanage, school or after-school program in a needy community, or a home for abused children, community centre or with street children at a shelter. 

I will be staying in a traditional 'homestay', living with other volunteers in a Peruvian home.
