Greetings from the Magnolia Park, Blueberry Hill, Fairway Oaks (MBF) Pool Board,
For many years, the MBF pool has proved to be a valuable amenity to its members and its neighbors of Magnolia Park, Blueberry Hill, and Fairway Oaks.
As with all mechanical systems, maintenance is a necessary preventive measure. However, there comes a time when normal maintenance has reached the point of diminishing returns. Unfortunately, this is the case with the MBF pool.
For the past several years, we have replaced burned up pumps, leaking filters, broken valves and faulty breakers. This past year, we began to replace some of the pools infrastructure in an attempt to alleviate the re-occurring problems of the past. Despite our best efforts, most of the equipment that is original to the construction of the pool is simply past its useful life span and now requires replacement.
Due to the scope of work required, the MBF Pool Board has elected to begin The MBF Pool Capital Improvement Campaign. This capital improvement campaign is directed at replacing the pools infrastructure and with your donations the plan this off season is as follows:
- Remove all piping, pumps, valves and filters
- Consult with engineers for design of new system and components
- Install New Above Ground Piping
- Install new vacuum lines
- Install newer larger filters
- Install new pumps per new design
- Replace any damaged or worn valves
- Replace/Repair Under water lights
- Replace/ Repair Outdoor yard lights
We are in need of help from the friends, members, and neighbors of the MBF pool in order to make these necessary and vital improvements. Unfortunately, without these improvements, the pool will continue to suffer systemic mechanical failures.
