The world of dance embraces all who move with power and grace. At Mahogany Blues Dance Apparel  we honor and celebrate dancers by designing dance apparel that compliments their skin tones and highlights their natural beauty. We launched Mahogany Blues Dance Apparel  in March 2015 with the goal to break ‘barres’ by painting the dance realm in color – piece by piece. When dancers wear our apparel, audiences are mesmerized by the result. They are no longer distracted by dance apparel that is not in total harmony with skin tones. Instead, they witness a transformation as dancers ‘become the dance.’

My name is Whitney Bracey. I am the creative mind behind Mahogany Blues Dance Apparel  . My experience as a fashion designer of custom, luxury swimwear positioned me to offer a similar line to the dance industry. Our dance apparel comes in a variety of colors to reflect the diversity of dancers’ skin tones. We currently offer five leotard styles with four color options, resulting in apparel that is in harmony with the essence of the dancer.

Mahogany Blues Dance Apparel is also committed to supporting the dance community on a broader scale. We depend on donors like you so that we can extend our reach to dancers at every age. With that in mind, we have initiated our very first GoFundMe Campaign.

The progress that we have made since 2015 has been far beyond what we ever expected. We have been blessed with recognition from media outlets such as BuzzFeed, Huffington Post, Pop Sugar, and Mic just to name a few. This recognition has brought us tremendous attention and new clients, which has allowed us to grow faster than anticipated.

Now, is time for us to grow again! Your donations will help us fulfill our donations to schools so that young dancers are not only comfortable with their skin, but also comfortable with the dance wear that enfolds their skin. It will also help us advance our dance line on a national – and possibly international level.
