Mayra is an incredibly special young girl, who at age 15, is battling cancer for the second time.
At age 5, Mayra was diagnosed with cancer and fought for 4 years until she was declared in remission. At the age of 6, in the midst of that battle, she lost her father. Mayra and her mother, Elena, demonstrated amazing strength and courage despite the hardships and sadness they faced. This amazing mother/daughter duo need our love and support now more than ever as Mayra enters her second battle with cancer.
We have set up this page to raise monetary funds to support Mayra and her mom. Her aggressive treatment requires intensive chemotherapy and a long hospital stay. Your generosity will help to keep Elena at Mayra's bedside, where she has been non-stop, without the stress and worry of how to manage their lives financially.
Mayra is, and has always been, an amazing student. She was Valedictorian in elementary school and again in middle school. She is now about to enter her second year of High School. Mayra has a passion for Science and loves to write. She aspires to one day have a career in Genetics/Science Research.
