As many know I have struggled the last few years with my health. My organs are shutting down one by one with no real advance warning. It began in the kidneys in 2013, and progressed to the GI tract in the past few years. As of now my colon has stopped functioning. The digestive system is slowing. After months of treatments/surgeries locally with no success I was referred to Mayo Clinic in hopes of a resolution.
Upon my most recent visit to Mayo Clinic many of the test preformed came back abnormal making it hard for a real “treatment plan” that would work successfully, thus far it was found that I would need to complete a biofeedback program at Mayo Clinic in hopes of attempting to regain some of the functioning in the muscles within GI tract. By doing so it will open up options for the alternative treatments beyond a permanent ostomy bag. The program will be 2 weeks in length and completed at the facility in MN. Unfortunately there are no housing options for my stay behind hotels which will all be at my expense. All charitable housing is not an option as I do not qualify. Most are for radiation or chemo patients or those whom have received a recent transplant.
Asking for help has been very hard for me as I am always the one who tends to offer help to others even when I myself had struggled. Unfortunately I am now to the position that asking for help whether it be via donations or by prayer is something I greatly need. I am a firm believe we cannot solely do some things alone but together we can move mountains! Any help is more than appreciated whether it be via donation, sharing this page, by prayer/good vibes sent my way, or encouragement. For all my heart will be filled with gratitude and thanksgiving!
