Mavis's 80th Birthday Donations

Mavis turns 80 at the end of June and as part of her birthday celebrations she would like to raise money for two charities which she supports.
In lieu of gifts she is asking friends and family to give donations which she will then split between Compassion UK and Tearfund.
Compassion UK
Compassion are passionate about protecting and empowering every child left vulnerable by poverty. Working in partnership with local churches in developing countries, Compassion link a child in critical need with a caring sponsor, which will provide schooling, healthcare, training plus much more.
Mavis has supported and sponsored children via Compassion for many years and is currently sponsoring a little boy called Hengky from East Indonesia.
Tearfund
Tearfund is a Christian charity, called to follow Jesus wherever the need is the greatest around the world. Tearfund help communities overcome the worst effects of poverty and disasters – they believe that the same people who face these issues, also have the best idea as to how they can overcome them.
Tearfund works alongside local churches and other locally-based organisations in over 50 countries to help people realise their plans for a better future.
