Maverick 8 week old parvo puppy

Donation protected
This is Maverick, he just turned 8 weeks old on Tuesday and is already in a fight for his life. After having him for approximately 28 hours, and him being unable to keep anything down due to vomiting and constant diarrhea, I came home from work on Wednesday to find him weak, unable to stand and lethargic. He drank some water and was able to keep it down so I laid with him just to observe him for a bit when he began to have a seizure. I picked him up, ran him out of the house and immediately to my vet where they started an IV, gave him sugar for his blood sugar of 23, gave him antibiotics and tested him for Parvo, which ultimately came back positive. The breeder suggested that it would come back positive because he had the live virus vaccine, which I later found out to be false, but he also displayed all of the classic symptoms; vomiting, diarrhea, persistent hypoglycemia and no white blood cells or neutrophils on his CBC. His prognosis was grim, but we decided to give him every opportunity at life, so they left the IV in, gave him some extra sugar and then the race was on to get him from the vet to the emergency vet that was a 24 hour staffed facility. He deteriorated on the car ride over, he stopped responding to me, and his respiratory effort was beginning to fail. I started rescue breathing for him as I sped to the ER vet.
When we arrived, they immediately took Maverick back and began to work on him. The doctor was very frank and did not believe he would make it. She thought it may be too late for him to rebound as he was now in a coma and his sugar was too low to even read. I lost it. I told her to try everything and anything to save him, so that's where we are at today. Maverick is fighting for his life and making improvements by the hour. His prognosis has gone from grim to great!!! He will still need a minimum of another 2 days up to another week in the hospital to make sure he is stable enough and has started to rebound with his immune system. The breeder has said she is going to refund the cost of maverick which was $1573, but I have yet to see that money make it back into my account. She became very defensive, if not angry, when I told her that they were 100% positive that he has parvo. She has since stopped asking for updates and has not given me any indication that she will be paying for his hospital stay. I am out of funds to front for maverick as I have paid 5700 in total from both my vet and the hospital combined, so I am asking my friends and family and anyone that has ever been touched by this awful disease parvo to help us allow Maverick to take as long as he needs to heal and build his immune system before we bring him home and potentially put him back in harms way.
