In a long awaited, extremely overdue night, UK Football managed to beat the Florida Gators after a grueling 31 years. As expected from the students of UK, they trekked through the torrential downpour, through the deep potholes and puddles, to the promised land that is State Street after a good ole UK win. While no couches were burned this year, probably due to the rain, and no human injuries surfaced, a small white car lost its life. My son, Matt, equally a die-hard UK fan, parked his little white car on the street in front of his friends house. And, while spared by the parking services and traffic control of Lexington, it was not spared by the celebrations.

Matt's car was completely totaled in the process of celebrating UK's victory. He is a hard-working young man who needs to commute to both work and school. I'm calling upon the UK community to rally together, again, in hopes of replacing his car.

Your donations would be greatly appreciated. And of course, Go Cats!

We want to give an update to everyone that has been so kind to reach out and help Matt!

Big M Superstore Car Dealership donated a 2004 Mazda 3 to Matt! How amazing is that! It's Blue too!

The owner Steve Montgomery & General Manager Dustin Dzierzek reached out to us saying they saw the video of what happened to Matt's car and they just wanted to help him!

We donated Matt's old car to the dealership and they are going to put it on their lot and let their customers take a swing at it! So, please show them some love and support! They are huge UK fans and they wanted to make the wrong right and boy did they!

We are just overwhelmed and humbled by this entire experience. Something that started out so terrible has ended with an amazing story and memories!

We discussed donating the funds raised for Matt to other charities but in the end felt that it should be each person who donated decision to where their money went, so we will be refunding all of the donations.

Thank you again for the kindness shown to our family and the thoughtful comments! We read them ALL! I personally sent each and every one of you a thank you note!

Very Respectfully Yours!
