On March 12th, Matt Robinson was working at Milton High School where he is the School Resource Officer.  Matt began to experience signs and symptoms of a stroke and was taken by ambulance to West Florida Hospital in Pensacola where they confirmed he had suffered a stroke and diagnosed him with a brain bleed.  Matt was admitted to their ICU unit and is currently undergoing treatment and testing to determine the extent of the rehabilitation he will need.  At this time, though he has made great strides, he is still experiencing paralysis of his right side and is unable to speak.

Matt has been a dedicated Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s deputy for numerous years, protecting the Navarre and Milton communities.  He also selflessly serves at his church on the Risk Managment Team ensuring the safety of the congregation each week.  Anyone who knows Matt knows that he is the happiest when he is with his family and is a wonderful dad to all of his children.

Obviously with an unexpected and catastrophic illness like this, there will be a large financial burden placed on this family, and an abundance of work missed by both Matt and his wife Tabitha.  Tabitha will be traveling upwards of an hour in one direction, to and from the hospital multiple times a week.  Matt will also need extensive rehabilitation and care in order to regain his ability to walk and speak.

Matt has given years of his life caring for, and protecting the community, always answering the call no matter what it is.  It is our time to come together and rally around him and his family in their time of need.  Any and all donations and prayers would be greatly appreciated!
