Massai Tribe Solar Reading Lamps

After our team member and kids yoga instructor, Ivone's recent travels to Kenya, Africa and her connecting with a local Massai tribe in the area, we feel led to help.
This Massai tribe lives their traditional culture. They live in very basic homes without running water or electricity. When Ivone, met with the tribe chief and asked how Melanin & Yoga could be of service to the tribe, what they requested was solar reading lamps for their children to be able to complete school work and read after dark.
Our belief that education can help change the poverty in which they live is why we decided we wanted to help. We have a contact in the area that has committed to delivering, and documenting the delivery of the solar powered lamps for us since we don't plan to return until 2020 and do not want to wait until then the deliver the much needed lamps.
