This summer I will be volunteering in Tanzania with Growth International Volunteer Excursions (GIVE).
GIVE focuses on sustainable community development in marginalised communities by assisting, educating, and empowering the local population. The core goal is to provide communities with necessary infrastructure to foster sustainable growth. I will be directly involved in building critical infrastructure, teaching English lessons at Skuli ya Kairo GIVE where 147 students are enrolled in and receiving their fundamental human right to an education.I will also be supporting the Tengeru Women’s Co-op.
GIVE continues to remain involved in these communities after volunteers like me have left. GIVE works within these communities year round to provide opportunities for sustainable development by funding teachers to work in the secondary school and funding doctors to provide medical care in these communities.
Following my 2 weeks volunteering I will be attempting to reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain.
Your contribution will go directly to the costs associated with the volunteer projects.
