Mary Needs a New Transmission

My name is Mary, I'm 31 years old and I have cerebral palsy. I use a power wheelchair to get around and have an adaptive van with a ramp that I use for transportation.

It turns out that, after taking my car in for a funny sounding noise, I need to have the transmission in my van replaced. This is after replacing the head gasket in October for $2400. While I would much rather buy a brand new car, I don't have the money or the credit to do that right now. So here we are.

I need this car to get to and from work everyday. Because public transit isn't really an option, my van is crucial to me being able to continue working. I'm told that the transmission could go anytime, so I need to get it fixed sooner rather than later. Which is why I need your help. I've been working at my job for almost a year, but most of that was as a part time employee so I haven't had a chance to save up money yet. So I'm asking for donations to get my van fixed and keep me working.
