Martineau Adoption Journey

It takes a community to bring home a child.
We (James and Erin) are excited to tell you that we are expecting! ...to adopt a child :) We're hoping and praying for a child from Columbia to become part of our growing family.
Our hearts for adoption have been shaped by our Heavenly Father's immeasureable riches in His grace toward us when He adopted us into His family through His Son. "See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are." (1 John 3:1a) When we think of our call to make disciples of all the nations, adoption comes to mind.*
One of the exciting (and slightly overwhelming) parts of this journey is the surprisingly quick processing time which is consistently less than a year from the first paperwork submission date. By the time we head to Columbia, we need to have 100% of the funding completed. These funds go to agency costs, orphan care, home study fees, traveling, and medical costs (our child will have a special need). We cannot bring home our child in that timeframe without your help!
And we can't tell you enough how thankful we are for your support, both financially and prayerfully, through this journey. God certainly uses His people to care for the orphan. (If you would rather send us a personal check, please contact us directly via GoFundMe or the blog link below.)
