Marquette Showchoir

Hello!  My name is Carrie Beitlich and I am a teacher at Marquette Elementary in Madison, Wisconsin.  I am trying to raise money for our school show choir which I help co-direct.  We are in our third year of operation and every year, we have more and more students join.  This year we have seventy members!

Our choir is in desperate need of risers.  For performances, we share with another school and we're not always guaranteed they are available.  We practice on the floor which can be tricky with such a large group.  With seventy members this can make it hard for students to see and be seen.  The students also miss the opportunity to practice on risers and get a feel for it.  Risers would help my students feel that they are true performers.

I know this choir is important to many of mystudents, as it was for me.  There are so many different types of students in the choir and it truly reaches so many. Having risers would help to strengthen our program and allow them to feel like true performers.

We would like to raise this money within the school year but we also realize it's a work in progress.  The choir continues to fund raise on our own.  Any contribution is truly appreciated.
