Blessing Marky Torres

Friends and family, I am sharing a story with you about a young man that is an overcomer, a true survivor. Someone with the strongest faith in God that I have ever seen. My nephew, Marky Torres is 12 years old, he is unique and truly special. He has Asperger's Syndrome but he has never let this stop him. He's attitude on life is so amazing and while school has been challenging for him, he has overcome each obstacle. He is a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend.

This summer on while vacationing in Minnesota, Marky and his family were enjoying beautiful Crane Lake on a Plantoon boat. Marky jumped off the boat into the lake and his right pinky finger got caught in the door frame and it was torn off.  Marky was brave and strong and did not cry. He quietly told his family to stay calm so his younger siblings would not be frightened. He said, "God I forgive you for letting this happen!" He was transported 2.5 hours by 2 ambulances to the nearest hospital. Due to several factors and the risk infection, surgeons were unable to reattach his finger. They performed surgery to finished the amputation and Marky's hand is altered forever. Marky did not let this accident stop him and his family from enjoying their vacation. He was back in the boat the next day.

Marky is very talented at drawing, he loves riding his bike, running, driving his go-cart and MMA. Marky needs occupational theraphy to relearn how to do the things he loves most and to prepare for school. He's family has accumulated unforeseen medical bills due to a unplanned lapse in insurance coverage.

Please pray for Marky and his family! And if you find in your heart a desire to help him in his recovery journey, please bless him with a donation. Any amount is greatly appreciated and is a seed into Marky's future! I also pray that your prayers and donations are multiplied for you and your family!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless you!

Marky didn't let his accident stop him from enjoying his vacation. Here he is proudly displaying his catch of the day.

May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.
