mark's fight for life

My brother in law, Mark Glasser, went to Morristown Memorial Hospital on Friday 3/10 to undergo same day surgery to repair a shoulder injury he sustained at work. During pre op, things went terribly wrong and he aspirated. He was moved to the ICU and put on a vent. While on the vent and having it working as hard as the machine can, his lungs started to fail. On Sunday night, Mark was airlifted to NY Presbyterian Hospital in NYC where he is on an echmo machine, in critical condition, and fighting for his life.

His wife, Amanda Glasser, has been by his side the entire time and continues to live out of a bag in the ICU waiting room since she lives 3 1/2 hrs away from the hospital.

Amanda and Mark are always the givers, always helping everyone else, and always putting others before themselves. It is time to give back to them in their hour of need and help them in any way we can. Everything is so expensive in the city and with Amanda out of work to see Mark through this ordeal and with 2 young children at home, she needs our help to ease her financial strain. She needs to focus all her energy on herself and Mark right now. They are such a young couple to be dealing with such a heavy burden.

This is going to be a long road to recovery for Mark and any help is greatly appreciated by the entire Glasser family. Our hearts and prayers go out to you Amanda. We love you both very much.
