Homme Less Story teller/actor
Hello readers, my personal story about secretly sleeping for years on a NYC roof top while pursuing work during the day, has become known to many through a documentary my friend and I made called HOMME LESS and the numerous follow up stories in the media ( The View, NY Post, People Magazine, BBC America, etc).
The film has played in many places over the world most recently (May 25) in Russia. January 28,2017 the film premiered in Tokyo where it became the #2 indie film.
I wish I could tell you that it has provided some financial benefit but that has yet to occur. It has, however, provided great personal satisfaction and many new friends.
So I was shot by German TV which included me doing a monologue of my story on stage. I hope to do much more of that and one day be on the Moth Radio Hour which features story tellers.
Also Homme Less aired the other night as "flim of the week" in Russia on a documentary channel. Would love to go there one day.
I am currently working on a one man performance piece of my story focusing not only on life on the roof but also life after full exposure - media interviews and film screenings. Should be good.
Still paying rent for my little room in NYC thanks to a friend of the family.
Hope all of you are well.
please think about starting your own modeling agency. Many models get robbed blind and end up with bad head shots, bad portfolios and crappy gigs. You could make a profit without robbing the models blind and protect so many models from bad gigs/jobs. You are uniquely qualified to do this as a succesful model and succesful photographer with so much life experience and wisdom. Models/Artist just starting out need a good quality mentor and agent like you.
you should do your own modeling agency too; because you are uniquely qualified as a model and photographer. I have heard horror stories from all kinds of models (fashion, spokemodels, plus size models, athletic models, alternative models, glamour models) about how hard it was to break into the business and also creepy gigs. With your unique experience as a model and a photographer you could sign lots of models to your agency and get them quality head shots and portfolios with robbing them blind; then you could make a profit from when they get great jobs and from when they get their portfolios together. The modeling industry needs someone like you to save alot of models from predatory creeps.
it is coming along slowly but surely. He is such a great guy. He does pictures for charities; he likes to help out so many folks . Now we can pay it forward and help him. Hang in there all your dreams will come true. Keep working as a photographer and model. One day you will have your own modeling agency along with your photography business. You are an angel.
