My name is Mark Brown and I've been a fan of werewolves ever since I was a kid, after seeing the original "WolfMan" movie, "The Howling" and "An American Werewolf in London".  However, werewolf movies have come few and far between, good ones anyway. And, many of them have relied more on digital effects rather than writing a solid story.  As a fan, I know this genre can do better than that.

With "Mark of the Wolf" (MOTW), I hope to return things back to its roots: telling an old fashioned type of horror story, while adding several twists and turns that will take things to a new level.

I first came up  with the concept over twenty years ago, as part of a short scene assignment while at college. I loved the idea and kept working on different variations of the story over the years, always with the plan os seeing it become a reality.

About nine years ago, with the help of several friends and fellow filmmakers,  I created an online series of short films, "Mark of the Wolf: The WebSeries", which has been filmed and seen in several parts of the world. In addition to writing (or co-writing several episodes of the series, I also have directed a few as well.

Two years ago, I wrote and directed "Sam's Story", which served as a pseudo-sequel to the events for this movie. I worked with many of the people that will be part of this project as well.

Armed with several people committed to being a part of this and a completed script that has earned rave reviews, things are moving towards getting my dream project off the ground.  With your help, we can do this:

Your support will go towards the following:
-- Creating the makeup and prosthetic work for the werewolf, which will be done by practical effects - no CGI.
-- Feeding the cast and crew
-- Covering costs for equpment, insurance and permits fees.
-- Handling post production work (color correction, music scoring, sound design, etc.)
-- Various fees to cover other expenses, including possible fees for entering into film festivals.

There will be several perks avaliable as well, including a chance to own a limited edition copy of the completed film.

As mentioned before, this is a dream project for me. One that I've devoted most of my life to. Sure, it may be just a story about werewolves, but it's a story that I passionately believe in, heart and soul. Now that things are this close to seeing this become a reality, your support can help make this happen. Every cent donated to this will go towards the film, and your name will be a part of the credits for the completed film, no matter the amount.

And if you can't donate, helping to spread the word will also go a long way as well.

Thank you for your time and for reading this. Hopefully you can help make our mark!
