Marjorie LeClair Legal Fund

Marjorie LeClair is in her 70's. She is a Registered Nurse. She has no criminal record. She has been pushing a legislative initiative to repeal Arkansas laws which criminalize the production, distribution and sale of marijuana.

She was arrested on December 13, 2013 after receiving what appeared to be an expected delivery by FedEx of kitchen cookware that she had recently ordered.

Before Marjorie could open the package, officers appeared at her door with a warrant to search her house. They seized the package and removed it from her possession. Marjorie never saw what was inside the package.

Officers reported that the package contained 2-pounds of marijuana and charged Marjorie with possession with intent to deliver.

Anyone who knows Marjorie knows that these charges are spurious. Still, the burden is on Marjorie to 'prove her innocence' and legal fees to clear her name are estimated at $20,000.  I am asking for your support.
