Help Sharon w/Maria&Keith's Wedding

Maria and Keith have loved each other for 41 years, through many challenges including homelessness and drug addiction.  Sharon Suleta met Maria through her regular food distributions to the homeless, and learned of Maria's plans to marry her longtime love.

"On Feb. 18, Maria Isaacs, 54, one of Suleta’s regulars, shyly invited Suleta to her wedding. Isaacs and her beau of 41 years had recently secured housing and planned to marry on April 21st in the community room of a supported-housing agency that had assisted Maria.

“I told her I’d love to attend and would bring food,” says Suleta, thinking she’d bake a casserole. That night, she posted a photo of Isaacs on Facebook and jokingly wrote, “Anybody want to help me cater a wedding?”

Now, they have their marriage license in hand and other important arrangements in process. Many generous friends and strangers offered to donate time, food, photos, dress, suit, reception hall, and more for the  wedding.  

Despite the many generous donations, out-of-pocket costs to support the event are piling up. Alterations, shoes, court fees, gratuities, reception supplies, and other incidental expenses are mounting. If you've ever planned a wedding, you know how it goes even with loved ones pitching in. 

The wedding date will be announced as soon as we have firm arrangements in place, but it will be before the marriage license expires. 

Any amount you can spare will be put to good use. Let's give them a day they will treasure for the rest of their lives.
