Mari Montes Funeral fund

Our loving, caring, straight forward, feisty sister Maribel Montes passed away unexpectedly on Sat. April 29, 2017 due to complications during a brain aneurysm surgery. This fund was established in response to several inquires received on how everyone can help.
Mari was in the Early Childhood Education field for over 30 years. She was not only a teacher to the students in her classroom, she was a teacher to all. She had a theatrical way of teaching; from her circle time magic bag to her one of a kind witty phrases. She loved all her students as if they were one of her own, and was always eager to share her stories of the milestones her kiddos were making because she was always just so proud them. Her final act of kind heartedness was donating her organs. With heavy hearts and much sadness we now bid farewell to Mari. Continued prayers and support are greatly appreciated.
Proceeds from the fund will be handled by James Phillips (oldest son) to handle funeral expenses. Any amount in excess raised will then be given to Jesse Gonzalez to help with any medical expenses.
