I am beyond devastated to say that my son, Marcus, passed away suddenly on October 5th. After a long & hard fought battle, Marcus lost to addiction. The demon known as addiction just couldn’t be removed from his shoulders like so many others that we all know. He is at peace now and no longer having to fight. My heart is completely broken. We are all left to pick up the pieces now.
Marcus leaves behind the love of his life, Kristine, and his unborn daughter. His baby girl that will never know her father; the funny, intelligent, incredibly talented, and loving man we all know Marcus was. Also leaves behind his 12 year old daughter Evelyn who he loved with all his heart and so much more. Kristine is now left to raise their little girl by herself. No child should lose their parent at such a young age, and no parent should bury their child.
Marcus’ passing was very sudden and unprepared. For this reason, we are humbly asking for donations. Anything helps, even just a share. I want to give my son the goodbye he deserves as well as try to set aside something for his new little family if at all possible.
And if there is enough, my ultimate goal is to do something, ANYTHING, to spread awareness of this HORRIBLE disease! We must talk about this openly....and fight with all our might! Addiction has destroyed our lives time and time again, leaving permanent scars that we’ll never be able to recover from. No family should ever go through such a horrific time.
I ask that you share this with as many people as possible. And please share a memory, a story....anything about Marc. I thank each and everyone for their kind words and thoughts and prayers.
