THE MARCH FOR THE MURDERED MILLION

On 24th July 2016 Caged North West will hold the biggest March ever held in Manchester for Greyhound Remembrance Weekend.

Appeal;
Today we need your help as our funds have hit a dramtic low after funding a few recent investigations into cruelty, which included a cost for an essential post mortem.

All funds will be used for Protest materials for the march and also for protesters at tracks around the UK- Provision of banners and to maintain our selection of leaflets/flyers

The March;
Why Manchester? Manchester is the home of Belle Vue stadium which was opened on 24th July 1926 and was the first British stadium to open its doors to cruelty of greyhounds. Exactly 90 years on and the exploitation still continues.

It will be a funeral themed march through the busy streets of Manchester, of where we shall remember all the dogs that have died at the hands of the racing industry since 1926

Our history since 2012;
Campaigns
At Caged North West, we have ventured where no other animal welfare group has gone before, with hard hitting campaigns encouraging people to research greyhound racing, before opting to attend greyhound race tracks or gamble on their lives.

Numerous spectacular backlit billboards 'also digital' grabbing the attention of millions of commuters.

Giant Sky Banners with the slogan 'You Bet They Die'

We led the biggest ever protest at the Hilton Hotel, where greyhound trainers attended to gain their awards in 2014.

Awareness campaigns in national newspapers and well recognised magazines such as Dogs Monthly and Vegan Life.

We have also been involved in greyhound rescue cases, where specific cases are brought directly to our attention and where we believe a dog is in immediate danger of severe abuse.

We supply track materials to protesters around the UK.

We have now began investigating particular cases of greyhound cruelty, of which we will use to expose the racing industry following completion of cases.

We have no fear and will speak up wherever necessary and where the law permits us.

You can see some of our work on our website; www.cagednw.co.uk

We can only continue our activities with the help of public funding.

Please help us to continue to fight for the dogs.

Thank you for being their voice!!!
