March On to 2020 Rally and March

In 2016, over 60,000 Georgia women came to Atlanta to march in what was created as a protest against the election of Donald Trump to the presidency. Last year, there was no organized women's march in Atlanta even though 60 other major cities across the nation marched to support #MeToo, health care, DACA, immigrant rights, LGBTQ rights and the reproductive rights of our nation's women.
Georgia women WILL march in 2019! Not just to protest inequality and continued assaults on our rights but to RAISE the voices of women and marginalized communities all over our state. Georgia women WILL march to CELEBRATE our resilience, our accomplishments, and to applaud our newly elected progressive women representatives for whom we Marched On The Polls! We will focus on issues Georgia women have identified as crucial and top priority: voting rights, pro-choice, gun control, LGBTQ rights, equal pay, ratification of the ERA, and racism. And, we will "March On To 2020" with some fanfare: art activism, music, and opportunities to take action.
In 2019, March On Georgia, a grassroots women-led organization based in Atlanta, will host the "March On to 2020" rally and march to bring attention to the issues and amplify the voices of Georgia women. We are an official affiliate of Women's March Alliance (not associated with Women's March Inc) and a member of the March On Network of over 60 sister marches.
Funds raised will be spent on necessary permits to march and assemble, a sound system and staging, security, and marketing.
We offer PERKS to those of you who contribute to this cause:
1. Everyone gets a snazzy March On The Polls/March On Georgia wristband
2. In addition, everyone who donates $100 or more gets a March On The Polls Georgia t-shirt (limited sizes; limited inventory)
3. In addition to the wristband and t-shirt, everyone who donates $500 or more will be recognized as a PATRON and will receive our commemorative "March On to 2020" t-shirt and button.
