March For Science Event Costs

Putting on the March For Science in Springfield isn't free. Even though the city doesn't charge for a permit, their requirements do. Some of the big ticket items include:

$550 - Special Event Liability Insurance
$240 - Hiring of officers to close off streets
$200 - Speaker travel & lodging costs
$88    - GoFundMe's take
